Working Remotely in Animation with Theory Animation

Ray & Clovis are two of the main stars of one of  Theory Animation recent Productions.
Ray & Clovis are the main stars of “Reading is Magic” by Theory Animation. Their latest 8 minute 4 part episode was completed by 20 Animators and Developers collaborating remotely using Open Source Software.

Come and Join  the Fort Lauderdale ACM SIGGRAPH as David Andrade of Theory Animation presents  “Working Remotely in Animation” on  February 25th, 2014  at 7:00 p.m. Find out how they make Animated 3d Cartoons with 20 artists working world wide.

About the Speaker:

David Andrade: Animator, Director, Story Teller.

David  has over 10+ years of Industry Experience, from his  beginnings as an Animator for Tri-Dimensional Studios to Lead Animator at Dewmay Productions and Pre-visualization Artist at Halon Entertainment.  At Rhythm and Hues, David  was a Camera Layout Artist working on such films as Percy Jackson 2 (2013) and 300: Rise of an Empire (2013),  He then co-founded Theory Animation with Juerg Grieder, and Mark Olson where he currently serves as Animation Director and Artist for Theory Animation. David also supports the Digital Arts Community in his spare time by making In-depth workflow videos to promote Open Source Software Solutions.  Interested in Learning Blender?
