As a Data Visualization Expert, Computer Graphics Artist, Army Intelligence Warrant Officer and Published Author, Chris brings an extraordinary approach to publishing and visual storytelling.

Born in suburban Chicago, Chris Carter was raised in a working class atmosphere. His mother was manager of a Health Food store and his father was a builder and artist.  Prior to 911, Chris Carter had an extensive career as a computer graphics artist.  Starting at JBTV in Chicago, a cutting edge music video program that was carried on WGN’s Super Station and aired throughout the US. Chris then journeyed to Florida, to work for NiteLight Studios in Pompano Beach before moving to LA and making the rounds at some of the most prominent VFX studios in Hollywood. Chris then found himself working as a computer graphics artist in the Washington, DC area on 911.  For 33 years he has been in the U.S. Army. With 20 in the Reserves, 10 active duty and still going today. As a Defense Contractor and soldier he’s been to the Middle East 5 times since 911 and is working on several books and a screenplay to tell his stories.

In his provocative book “Locked Out”, inspired by Ray Kurzwiel, Chris Carter tells us to forget about Artificial Intelligence, computers do not have to be smarter than us. All they have to do is wait until we are dependent on them. Then lock us out! His new book “How To Predict The Future” combines health psychology with data visualization analysis and shows you how life boils down to numbers. Big numbers. Less than a dozen exabytes could contain every word ever written since the beginning of time. When you can visualize these numbers, you can begin to predict your future. This is a unique common thread through all of Chris Carter’s works.

With his producer friend, Gary Halpin, he published his first book, The Difference between Democrats and Republicans.” Chris was invited to Capitol Hill to present the book to Texas Congressman (R) Ron Paul. Ron bought two extra copies for his fellow Presidential candidates, John McCain and Barrack Obama.
